VBR Boathouse Construction Started

A formal groundbreaking ceremony was held March 13, 2019 with Vero Beach Mayor Val Zudans, local dignitaries, members, and the press present to witness the event. Proctor Construction, http://www.proctorcc.com/ , began boathouse construction the next day with completion expected by the end of 2019.

The 14,736 square foot 2 story building will have 4 bays on the ground floor to store club boats & ancillary equipment. The second floor will contain workout facilities, staff offices, restrooms with lockers and showers, and a kitchen. When complete, Vero Beach Rowing will have a world class facility to help promote rowing and to attract rowers of the highest level.

Fundraising for the $2.5M boathouse began less than 3 years ago. The club received donations from more than 100 organizations and individual contributors. We are grateful for the generous support of all those who have made contributions to date. We need to raise an additional $250K to cover the construction cost. Please contact Chris Ryan mailto:cryan@chrisryanpe.com if you are able to help us meet our fundraising goal.
